The Sony Xperia P is powered by the 1Ghz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB. Unfortunately, there won’t be any expandable memory on this one as well. Another area where Sony has cut costs is the camera, which is an 8MP shooter, instead of a 12MP on the Xperia S. Still, this shouldn’t keep it from capturing good quality photographs. The launch price is quite an attractive option for the specifications and feature the Xperia P has to offer. There aren’t any newer phones in this price range, right now, as it will compete with the older offerings, like the HTC Sensation, so this could give it an edge before phones, like the HTC One S hits the streets. The Galaxy Nexus also hovers around this price bracket, so that’s another option to consider.
We’ll leave you with some of the highlights of the phone:
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 1GHz dual-core processor
- 4-inch Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine
- WhiteMagic display technology
- 8MP camera with fast capture, HD recording, 2D and 3D panoramic images capture capability
- HDMI, DLNA
- NFC
