Nokia Asha 302 available online in India at Rs. 6,285

Nokia's Asha 302 is now available in India for Rs. 6,285 via online shopping sites Flipkart and Letsbuy. Nokia had unveiled its latest Asha 302 phone at the MWC event held earlier this year.

The Nokia Asha 302 has 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen and a QWERTY keypad for input. The device already has social networking and IM integration, as well as Microsoft Exchange. It runs on a 1GHz processor, and offers Wi-Fi N and 3G connectivity (HSDPA 14.4Mbps), as well as USB-on-the-Go support. It features a 1,320 mAh battery, promising over 707 hours of standby time, 9 hours of talk time, and 50 hours of music play. The Nokia Asha 302 also has a 3.2 MP primary camera, FM Radio. The Nokia Asha 302 is available in white, grey and red colours.
Earlier this year, Nokia had launched its Asha 303 phone in India. The Series 40-based Nokia Asha 303 is a Touch and Type device and is available online for Rs. 7765.
The pricing of the Nokia Asha 302, however, has come under criticism, as it's unlikely that users will shell out 6k for a feature phone with just QWERTY keypad, especially when there are a number of Android devices in the market for just Rs. 1,000 more from manufacturers such as LG (LG Optimus Pro) and Motorola (Motorola Fire). In fact, Nokia's Asha 303 seems a better deal than the Asha 302.
