The third in the Madagascar series from Dreamworks made its debut at Cannes Film Festival, in the section 'Out of Competition' before it reaches cinemas on June 6. The screening caused much excitment on Twitter, making 'Madagascar 3' a trending topic in France.
Film maker Olaf Schwennesen (@OSchwennesen) tweeted "Watch me today on the Red Carpet on the Filmfestival in Cannes. Big opening of Madagascar 3 and I'm with Ben Stiller here tonight."
Fans of the film series such as Alex Krunich (@alexandria_rayy) tweeted "Madagascar 3? Umm yes. #nightismade".
